My mother Mary is the best! She is a cross between Mother Teresa and Mary Poppins. She is such an inspiration to me of happiness and a love for Motherhood! She made the dress and bonnet for Sienna's blessing and my father joked that she hadn't quite hit the 70 hour mark. Lots of hard work and love as usual from sweet Mary. Thanks Mom! You are the greatest!

Sunday we blessed Sienna and it was a day of Miracles! Rob and I keep talking about how heavenly the day was with family and friends there. My sweet mom made her beautiful blessing dress. It was a "June Roses" day to be sure! I will post some more pics I promise! I have only taken 7000 since she was born. We are having such a wonderful time with this little angel! I had to pull myself away from kissing her chubby cheeks to do this post!

Rob and I did a pregnancy session and he was making us all laugh so hard that my niece that was doing the video was worried she wouldn't be able to use much of the footage because the camera was shaking up and down from her laughter. Needless to say we got some really priceless footage and shots. Thanks ladies you are the best!!

Charity

Today Rob and I had the opportunity to speak in sacrament. It is always such a great learning experience. So our topic was charity and it brought many tender memories of my life into view. A few years ago we had a surprise birthday party for my father. We decided to do just adults and have a night where everyone could enjoy each others company and have a nice dinner (we will be having my parents 32nd grandchild)... So there we where in the veranda at the Four Seasons and we all went around the table to told our favorite memory of our dad. Many of the stories I had never heard before as my dad is not much of a boaster about service her renders. The story that came to me when it was my turn to share was about the day he met Rob. My parents where coming up to Utah to visit and I was excited for them to meet my new found hospital hunk, haha. Rob was really nervous and told me "what would you be thinking if your daughter wanted you to meet her boyfriend who she had met in the hospital, had a diagnosis that he would never walk. He is going to think he will have to support us for the rest of our lives." We had a great laugh but it didn't take off the full edge of the hesitation Rob was feeling. My dad came into his room and we had a great chat, he asked if he could offer a prayer before leaving and then asked me if I would walk him to the car. When we arrived in the parking lot I asked him what he thought, thru tear filled eyes he said, "if the Lord saved some one as wonderful as that for you, you are a mighty lucky girl." I believe that because my father views others thru the lens of charity (pure love) that he could see Rob as the stalwart spiritual giant that he is and recognized how wonderful he would be for me. Another gift of charity that was told that evening was from my brother in law Doug. My oldest sister Michelle past away in 1988 in a car accident with her son and she was pregnant. It was devastating to all of us to loose the 3 of them. My brother in law and niece (Krystaly) came to live with us shortly after the funeral and I always loved having a little sister added to the bunch. We loved having Doug and Krystaly around and it seemed so natural to have them in our home, I never wondered until I was older how it was decided for them to come and live with us. Doug told the story that night of coming home after the funeral and looking around their duplex apartment in provo with Krystaly at his side, overwhelmed by the task ahead and wondering how he would get thru this season of his life. He said he heard a knock at the door and when he opened it my father was standing there with a uhaul behind him and said, "Son, I've come to move you home."

So tonight as I think of the wonderful examples of charity in my life these are a few stories that I would want to emulate.

MAUI

Rob and I decided a few weeks ago that we would celebrate our 10 year anniversary with a trip to Maui. It was so fun and even though it was on a whim my brother and sister and their spouses where able to join us as well. It was heavenly!!! Of course anything that includes shaved ice and pina colada smoothies is great for me. We soaked up a lot of sun and made great memories. The whales are right off the shore this time of year that and it was amazing. There was some cliff jumping, snorkeling, card games and a fabulous magic show/comedy show that we saw called warren and annabelles. Rob and I laughed so hard our cheeks hurt! PS I didnt cliff jump so no one panic, just my brother in law, Rob didnt see the climb as anything fun either, hahah not much of a hiker! We cant believe that we will be parents in less than 3 months. We are so excited and continue to appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers in our behalf. We love you!

A Season of June Roses

This season of my life has been wonderful!! I always think of a talk given by President Thomas S Monson who quoted James Barrie, who wrote that God gave us memories that we may have June roses in the Decembers of our lives. I am loving this season of my life. I feel that it is one of the best seasons I have experienced thus far. I am trying to relish every moment as I feel that it is full of "June Roses." Rob and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary! How fast time flies! We have had so many wonderful memories over the last 10 years. He is still crackin me up daily with his quick whit and practical solutions. I am so blessed in so many ways. I know life comes in season and I am grateful for this season as it has been a respite and beautiful place to be. My pregnancy is still going great. I feel so lucky that I have felt well thru each stage so far.

Rob and I went to Lawrys prime rib a few weeks ago and they had old fashion carolers there that would come and sing at the table. They where amazing and we had them sing "Im dreaming of a white Christmas." I did everything I could to not cry while they where at our table but as soon as they left the flood gates opened. Rob asked, "are you ok, is this a happy cry?" Love that guy! My sweet grandmother Mildred Ashworth LOVED singing. She passed away a few years ago having lived a wonderful life into her 90's. She was so fun and full of spunk. She loved Rob and had an 8x10 of her and Rob on top of her TV. Some times at night when I tried to call her, her line would be busy past midnight. I loved it when I went over to her home to find her on the phone with one of her best friends Nelda singing duets over the phone. She was magical and she loved White Christmas as does my mother and I. This fall and Christmas season has been amazing and full of comfort and joy for me. My parents returned from their mission in Chicago and it has been so great to have them back. My parents have 31 grandchildren so they where already serving a mission before they left, but they knew that the Lord needed them in the windy city. So off they went, we trusted that thru prayer and relying on the Lord we could be as helpful if not more than we where when we lived down the street from one another. My parents had told Rob and I that they had asked the Lord for a specific blessings that Rob and I would be able to start our family. How amazing that when they arrived home I was 4.5 months pregnant. I truly feel that this pregnancy has been the result of so many prayers and sacrifice and so much support from our friends and family. Thank you so much for being a part of the special times of our lives.

Hello family and friends, we are so excited that my new website is launched!! My web designer was awesome at seeing our vision and putting our little details into play. I shot quite a few elements for the site that she helped them flow really well, like our contact page I had wanted an old post card and feather pen with an E seal so I went to alligator soup and burned the seal with the wax and all, (it felt very pride and prejudice) hahah I bought the little feather pen and some old parchment paper and whalaa. My sweet friend Ronnie helped me with the opening song. I composed it many years ago and he offered his talents in helping me record it and add some strings. It has been a really fun project!!!

Last week Rob and I went to our Dr. Appt and scored this sweet pic of our little baby. It s progressed quite a bit since the lima bean stage!!! I am still feeling great and grateful that I have had smooth sailing thus far! It has been wonderful!

The more I read and look up on the amazing journey of pregnancy the more amazed I am at the miracle of life. This has been a wonderful journey so far. I realized early on that there was a lot that I could either worry about or just trust that all things do truly work out. So I picked the Gordon B. Hinckley approach that all things truly will work out. When Rob and I first met and he was still in his wheelchair quite a bit of the time we decided one summer day to go swimming at his Aunts house. There where a few things we weren't quite sure about for this outing like how we would get him in or out of the pool, if he could swim ect. (A few little minor things) but we just figured that we would just trust there would be a way that we could figure it out when we got there. As we assesed our options we realized that because of the step entry into the pool that the easiest way for him to get in was going to be if I rolled him to the side of the pool and tipped him in from his chair. The only other thing was that if I tipped him in he was either going to sink or swim and we where not quite sure which one would be more likely. I told him I could jump right in after we tipped him in if it looked like it wasnt going well! Luckily he did swim and not sink and swimming has come to be one of the things Rob enjoys most since his accident. We figure it will be kind of the same with kids, a lot of things we will learn as we go, trust in the Lord, consult with each other, and be there to support and love.

Hello to all, I promise to get the first ultra sound picture up tomorrow of our little lima bean. Time is flying by and we are loving this season of our lives. I just got called to teach the 6 year olds at church and I am loving it. They are histerical and full of whit and surprises. It has been so great to hear from all of you. I love the connection of fun friends that have come into my life since this world of blogging began. I will try to be better with updates. Thank you for all of your continued prayers and support.

Well one of my sisters couldn't sleep the night I called to tell her I was pregnant so she decided to spend that sleepless hours shopping for the little one. We don't know yet of course if its a boy or a girl, so she bought some of each. I personally love the man shirt leotard and the " I am Kind of a Big Deal" shirt. Rob and I where crackin up. And of course you can never go wrong with little girl clothes!!

So I did it! I bought some flats. I have been asked many times since I found out I was expecting what I am I going to do about shoes since I love high heels. But since we do have some weddings coming up that are going to be long coverages I thought it was time to buy some flats. I still believe that heels help in making the bum look less like a bean bag but we must sacrifice right.

Hello Family and Friends. After many promises that I would get on the ball with the personal blogging we thought this would be a perfect season of our lives to start. Rob and I just found out we are expecting and we are so excited. We wanted to thank everyone for your prayers and support to us. We have had so many fun memories already with the excitement of this new adventure. We are almost 5 weeks along and although we know its a bit early we felt that after 10 years we didn't want to wait to share the news. And we felt the more prayers the better. I haven't felt very sick yet so I feel grateful for that. We love and appreciate all of you and we will keep you posted on all the happenings at the Bob and Candy Simpson Clan.
